The second half should be stronger and new products ZYPOS and ZYSWITCH will boost longer-term growth because their markets are much bigger.

Turnover rose 11% to £5.7m and profit edged up from £437,000 to £464,000 in the six months to March 2006. Turnover is presently running at more than £1m a month.

manufacture of the ZYPOS product aimed at point of sale applications. In the first half it generated £100,000 of turnover rom providing samples. Turnover should rise rapidly when customers start to use the touchscreen in their products. The new
ZYPOS factory will boost group capacity to £40m.

ZYSWITCH is even newer and was launched at trade shows in April. It can be used for elevator or fridge control panels. Zytronic plans to appoint a new chief executive in the next year or so in order to allow chairman and 16% shareholder John Kennair to step back from day to day management.

Forecast profit growth is impressive with a jump from £984,000 to £1.6m forecast for the year to September 2006. Next year profit is expected to rise to £2.4m but even this leaves the shares on a relatively high rating.
